RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has once again adjourned the verdict in the November 26 protest case against Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The court has now fixed November 26, 2026, for the announcement of the judgment. According to media reports, ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah was scheduled to announce the reserved verdict today, but the judge postponed the decision.
This is the fifth time the verdict in this case has been delayed. During today’s hearing, Aleema Khan could not appear before the court due to being under house arrest/detention; however, 11 other co-accused nominated in the same case were present in the courtroom.
Defence counsel Faisal Mahmood Malik and the prosecutor also appeared before the court. The case against Aleema Khan related to the November 26 protest was registered by Sadiqabad Police Station, Rawalpindi.
The court has been repeatedly postponing the verdict, creating uncertainty for both sides. After the fifth time, all eyes are now focused on the new date of November 26, when the court is expected to finally pronounce its decision.
It is pertinent to mention that the case is being heard under anti-terrorism charges related to alleged involvement in violent protests.
