ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has termed the news of private TV Geo News as incorrect reporting and said that I have always maintained that the current status of these seats needs to be changed.
In a tweet, tagging the Geo News news, he said that the formula for representation of refugees needs to be restored. No one can deprive our refugees of their right to representation in the Legislative Assembly.
It should be remembered that Geo News had carried the news that the abolition of refugee seats is not a complaint or grievance, but a legitimate demand.
According to Geo News, in a statement, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that the best way to achieve political rights is political struggle, not protest or rioting. As far as the refugee seats are concerned, their current status is unacceptable.
Reacting to the news Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry had said that if Faisal Mumtaz Rathore gave any opinion or had a formula, it was not shared, we cannot give our opinion on social media reports.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that if the Prime Minister talks to the Azad Kashmir Muslim League-N, we will give our reaction, our position is that the 12 seats cannot be abolished immediately, a constitutional amendment is required to abolish the 12 seats.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that if the new assembly takes any decision after the elections, it can amend it, the 12 seats are still restored and will remain restored.
