ISLAMABAD: Awami National Party President Aimal Wali Khan apologized his comments regarding mine and mineral deal and said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called him for a meeting immediately after his return from the United States and informed him of the details of his visit.

Talking to the media, he said that Rana Sanaullah and Azam Nazir Tarar were also present in this meeting. Aimal Wali Khan said that the Prime Minister gave a detailed briefing on his American engagements, to which he told him that he is not important for the briefing, the briefing should be given to the Parliament because the Parliament is the most supreme institution.

According to him, the Prime Minister replied that God willing, we will also brief the Parliament further, and it will be taken into confidence on all matters. He said that the Prime Minister told me that the picture on which I had commented had nothing to do with the Mines and Minerals deal, that Chief Sahib had bought it from his own pocket and taken it as a gift for US President Trump.

He further said that when the Prime Minister gave an explanation, I said that if this is the case, then gifts are gifts, which are being presented at state-level meetings. If anyone has been hurt by my words, I apologize, as long as it has nothing to do with Mines and Minerals of Pakhtunkhwa.
