NORTH WAZIRISTAN: To make the protesters more enthusiastic and emotional, the Class Four Employees, Lady Health Workers and Paramedics staged a unique protest by beating drums outside the Press Club in Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan, against the withholding of salaries.

The protesters raised their voices against the indifference of the authorities by playing drums and flutes and recorded their protest by repeating their demands. The protesters said that the salaries of more than five hundred employees have been withheld for several months in the name of physical verification, due to which the stoves in their homes have gone cold.

They further said that they have been ready for the physical verification process for a long time, but the concerned authorities are constantly delaying it and no serious solution is being found to their problems. The employees demanded that the district administration, health department and other top officials immediately start the physical verification process and restore salaries. They said that if the verification process does not start by October 6, a full-scale protest movement will be launched from Monday. The protesters held placards in support of their demands and recorded a peaceful protest.
