CALIFORNIA: WhatsApp is adding new features to the application to help users deal with mobile storage, a problem that they are most likely with the huge dump of messages, photos, and videos. The update will be available soon on the Meta-owned messaging platform.
The feature called “New Storage Management” enables users to decide which media files photos, videos, PDFs from each chat are stored. Users can freely manage storage from the information screen of each chat, thus, it is very convenient to delete or view large files without interrupting the conversation.
With the help of individual chats in storage management, WhatsApp intends to provide users with more freedom over their device storage, at the same time, not to disrupt their messaging experience.
Instagram introduces new feature to track reels watch history
Earlier, by introducing a new service, Instagram intends to make it easy for users to find the reels they have already visualized. The new feature called “Watch History” was announced by the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri.
The new feature is going to record the user’s experience in the exploration of the content of the Reels. So, they can be sure to have the chance to watch the video again (which they might have missed) and they haven’t just scrolled past by mistake. It is particularly great for those people who frequently come across great stuff but lose it because of a refresh or an accidental scroll in the app.
It is very simple to access the feature. Users can access the feature through the Instagram app by following Settings > Your Activity > Watch History. The latest viewed videos will be displayed at the top, and older ones below. Indeed, one can even select a specific date in order to view the videos he viewed on that particular day.
