Peshawar High Court(PHC) bans Judicial officers go to perform Umrah during court working hours as this repeated practice affects court proceedings.

Peshawar High Court has banned all judicial officers of the province from going on Umrah except during specific days of annual leave. The Peshawar High Court sent a letter to all judicial officers of the province regarding performing Umrah, in which it was said that the Chief Justice took notice that judicial officers are getting leaves to perform Umrah during court working hours, which affects court proceedings.

After that in the letter, the Peshawar High Court has directed all judicial officers of the province to perform Umrah during summer and winter vacations.

It should be noted here that long leaves of judicial officers and prolonging the date of hearing by the readers have badly affected the court proceeding in all over the country. The Judicial process badly affected due to repeated concessions for the accused parties not only in criminal cases but also in civil cases.
