QUETTA: Women are proving their mettle shoulder-to-shoulder with men in every walk of life. In Quetta, 5 sisters have entered the business world by bringing traditional home flavors to a restaurant.
This story of Ramen Restaurant presents a unique example of determination, hard work and family cooperation. Talking to media, the owner of Ramen Restaurant said that it has been about one and a half years since she started this business.
Initially, she was doing business in the Cantt area of Quetta, however later the restaurant was shifted to the current location. She said that they are five sisters and two brothers and all are trying together to create a source of employment for their family.
The restaurant’s menu includes Chinese, Continental and other types of food, but their main purpose is to provide customers with a home-like taste in a restaurant environment. According to Ramen, family support played an important role in this journey, especially her brothers fully supported her and encouraged her to continue the business despite difficulties.
She said that the restaurant is receiving a good response from customers. People come here to eat from different areas of Quetta as well as from far-flung places including Airport side, Bypass and Kalat. Some customers, after watching videos on social media, specially visit the restaurant to taste their platter.
She said that the restaurant business faces tough competition and some people also discouraged them, but they did not lose courage. According to her, when a work is started, instead of getting scared of difficulties and backing away, one should try to move it forward with success.
In her message to women, the owner of Ramen Restaurant said that if a woman has the ability and determination to do something, she should step into the practical field and show her abilities instead of sitting at home for fear of people’s talk or opposition.
She said that women should move forward with confidence in their abilities and prove with their hard work that they can also achieve success in every field of life, including business.
The increasing participation of women in business activities reflects that if they are provided with suitable opportunities, passion to work hard and family support, they can not only create employment opportunities for themselves but also play an important role in the economic independence of their family.
