Pakistan’s first-of-its-kind theme park is set to be developed in Islamabad with investment from Saudi Arabia, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Saudi investors and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The signing ceremony for the project was held at the historic Qaddafi Stadium, with Federal Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi attending as the chief guest.
The MoU was signed by Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council, and CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf.
Mohsin Naqvi welcomed the agreement and congratulated Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud on the development.
Under the agreement, Saudi investors will finance the theme park project in Islamabad, while the CDA will provide the land required for its development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Naqvi warmly welcomed the Saudi delegation and said Islamabad’s infrastructure was being modernised to bring it in line with leading cities around the world.
He assured Saudi investors that they would receive all possible facilities and support, describing the theme park as a potential game-changer for the capital.
Naqvi also revealed plans to organise a real estate roadshow in Saudi Arabia in the coming months to explore further investment opportunities.
Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud said Pakistan, particularly Islamabad, offered promising opportunities for investment.
Members of the CDA and representatives of the Saudi delegation were also present at the ceremony.
