PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to completely eradicate terrorism in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and would not rest till last terrorist eliminated saying that PTI ruined the peace achieved through the sacrifices of thousands of people.
In a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Governor House Peshawar, an agreement has been reached for the complete eradication of terrorism.
The high-level meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is underway at Governor House Peshawar, where the political situation of the province and recent developments are also being reviewed.
The meeting is being attended by Mohsin Naqvi, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Atta Tarar, Amir Muqam and Rana Sanaullah, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Chief Secretary, IG and Corps Commander Peshawar.
According to sources, it was agreed in the meeting to eliminate terrorism, while tributes were paid to the martyrdom of the armed forces, police and the public. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that we will not rest until the last terrorist is eliminated, the sacrifices of our jawans and officers will not go in vain.The Prime Minister told the participants that whatever you need for the province’s police, Safe Cities, CTD, the federation will provide.
According to sources, a special package for the families of martyrs of the war against terrorism is also expected to be announced by the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “We will not rest till the last terrorist is eliminated. The sacrifices of our jawans and officers will not go in vain. Whatever the province’s police, Safe City Project and CTD need, the federation will provide.
“Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the meeting on the security situation and the facilities being provided to the province by the federation.
The Prime Minister also offered assistance to the KP administration under the head of counter-terrorism.Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Peshawar on a one-day visit. According to sources, the political situation of the province and recent developments were reviewed during the visit.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister is expected to announce a special package for the families of martyrs of the war against terrorism.
According to sources, Sher Shah Suri Road and Airport Road were closed for traffic during the Prime Minister’s visit and citizens were advised to use alternative routes.
It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was scheduled to visit Peshawar on October 20, however, his visit was postponed.
