The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important message urging citizens to get their iris scans registered to strengthen the security of their identity records.
According to a message issued by NADRA, citizens are advised to protect their own identities and those of their children by getting iris scans done free of charge at NADRA offices across the country.
The authority said iris scanning is an important step towards making identity information more secure and reliable. The facility is available at all NADRA offices, allowing citizens to complete the process without any fee.
NADRA has encouraged citizens to visit their nearest registration office with their family members, including children aged three years and above, to get their iris scans registered.
Iris scanning is a biometric identification method that uses the unique patterns in a person’s iris, the coloured part of the eye, to help verify their identity. It is considered an additional layer of biometric identification alongside other methods.
NADRA is providing the service free of charge to facilitate citizens and enhance the security and reliability of identity verification.
