PESHAWAR: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas of Peshawar from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning due to the relocation of a main gas pipeline near the Zakori Flyover on GT Road.

According to the company, gas supply will remain suspended from 9pm on Tuesday, October 20, until 5am on Wednesday, October 21, affecting several localities across the city.

The affected areas include Peshawar Cantonment, Lady Reading Hospital, Nothia, Gulberg, Charsadda Road, Pajagi Road and adjoining neighbourhoods.

SNGPL said the interruption was necessary to facilitate the relocation work on the main gas pipeline near the Zakori Flyover on GT Road.

Residents Advised to Make Alternative Arrangements

The company has urged residents of the affected areas to make alternative arrangements for cooking and other essential household needs before the suspension begins.

Consumers have also been advised to keep gas appliances switched off when supply resumes and follow safety precautions to avoid any potential accidents.

SNGPL officials said gas supply would be restored promptly after the completion of the relocation work.
