Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced an online facility allowing citizens to apply for learner permits, renew driving licences and obtain duplicate licences without visiting offices in person.

The facility was introduced on the directives of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Captain (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry to make services more accessible and convenient for citizens.

According to Chief Traffic Officer Kainat Azhar Khan, the online services will be available through the Islamabad Traffic Police web portal with a single click. The facility will also be available at the Traffic Headquarters in Faizabad and other police facilitation centres from Monday, October 19.

Kainat Azhar Khan said renewed and duplicate driving licences will be delivered to citizens doorsteps through TCS, eliminating the need for unnecessary visits to offices for collection.

She advised applicants to provide their complete names, accurate residential addresses and active mobile phone numbers when submitting online applications.

She added that incorrect or incomplete addresses could delay the delivery of driving licences.

Islamabad Traffic Police said it is committed to providing modern and convenient online services, adding that public convenience and saving citizens’ time remain its top priorities.
