The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced a digital document attestation system, allowing citizens in Pakistan to complete the process online and receive attested electronic certificates by email.

Under the new system, applicants can submit their applications and required documents online for verification, eliminating the need for repeated visits to ministry offices.

According to the ministry, applicants will be notified once their documents have been reviewed. After approval, they can pay the required attestation fee online, following which the electronic certificate will be issued and sent to their email address.

The initiative aims to simplify the attestation process by reducing queues, cutting waiting times and saving applicants the time and expense of travelling to ministry offices.

The move is part of the government’s broader efforts to digitise public services, improve administrative efficiency and make essential procedures more accessible.

With the new facility, citizens will be able to complete the attestation process remotely, making document verification more convenient and reducing reliance on traditional in-person services.
