PESHAWAR: Samar Haroon Bilour, Adviser to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, has raised serious questions over the alleged links between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Sharing a statement issued by the banned TTP opposing the imposition of Governor’s Rule and constitutional changes in the province, Samar Haroon Bilour questioned why an internationally proscribed terrorist organisation was so concerned about the removal of the PTI government that it had issued statements against the constitutional development.
In a post on X, she asked whether the response from a banned terrorist organisation to the change was not a matter of serious concern.
Isn’t it an alarming news that an internationally recognised and defunct terrorist organisation is so worried on ouster of PTI government that it is issuing statements against the constitutional change??? It looks like they were quite comfortable in the previous government’s time https://t.co/CFxPyMlLa9

She further remarked that the situation appeared to suggest that these elements had enjoyed a relatively peaceful and comfortable environment during the tenure of the previous government.
