PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced fresh transfers and appointments across the provincial bureaucracy with immediate effect following directives from the chief secretary.
According to a notification issued by the provincial government’s Human Resource Management Department (HRMD), the appointment of Mian Behzad Adil as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abbottabad has been cancelled, and Hamidullah, an officer awaiting posting, has been appointed to the position.
In another major appointment, Babar Khan Tanoli, Deputy Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, has been posted on deputation as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Swat.
Meanwhile, Sarah Rahman, Additional Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, has been transferred to the Health Department, where she will serve as Additional Secretary and Provincial Coordinator of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC).
The HRMD notification stated that all the transfers and appointments would take effect immediately.
Major Police Reshuffle in KP: Eight Senior Officers Get New Assignments
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has ordered transfers and postings of eight senior police officers with immediate effect in the public interest.
According to an official notification issued by the office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on October 12, the reshuffle includes changes to key positions in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, police training and district police administration.
Under the notification, Shabih Hussain (BS-19), who was serving as Principal of the Elite Police Training Centre (EPTC), Nowshera, has been attached to the Central Police Office (CPO), Peshawar, for onward reporting to the Interior and Narcotics Control Division in Islamabad.
Zahoor Babar (BS-19), previously serving as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been appointed Director General of the Research and Analysis Wing of CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Shahbaz Ellahi (BS-19), who was serving as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Security in the Special Branch, has been posted as Principal of EPTC Nowshera.
Captain (retd) Muhammad Furqan Bilal (BS-18), formerly District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu, has been transferred as SSP Coordination at the Capital City Police (CCP), Peshawar.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander (retd) Kashif Aftab Ahmad Abbasi (BS-18), who was awaiting posting at the CPO, Peshawar, has been appointed Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operations at the CPO Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Irfan Aamir (BS-18), previously serving as SSP Coordination at CCP Peshawar, has been posted as SSP Security in the Special Branch.
Muhammad Azhar (BS-18), who was serving as AIG Operations at the CPO Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been placed at the disposal of the Additional Inspector General of Police, CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Shafiullah (BS-18), who was awaiting posting at the CPO, Peshawar, has been appointed District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu.
The notification was issued by Provincial Police Officer Zulfiqar Hameed under the powers conferred upon him by Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
