ISLAMABAD: The federal government has once again increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel, with the new rates set to take effect from midnight tonight.
According to the latest notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs0.78 per litre, taking its new price to Rs395.72 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs2.31 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs398.96 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect after 12 midnight on October 8 and remain applicable for the announced period.
The latest increase comes amid continued volatility in international oil prices and pressure on the domestic fuel market.
OGRA has issued the notification outlining the revised petroleum product prices for October 9.
