The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a schedule for temporary power suspension in various areas of its region.
According to the state-run news agency, the temporary outages have been scheduled to facilitate ongoing development projects, including the construction of new flyovers, underpasses and 11KV feeders, road expansion, and the shifting of electricity poles and other installations.
According to the schedule, power supply will remain suspended from 8am to 12pm on October 8, 2026, in areas served by the Rawalpindi City Circle, Millatabad, Dhoke Chaudhrian, Peshawar Road, Askari-11 and Cobb Lane feeders, along with adjoining areas.
An IESCO spokesperson said the shutdowns are necessary to facilitate the timely completion of development projects being carried out by the district administration.
The spokesperson said temporary power suspension schedules are also uploaded on IESCO’s official website and its social media platforms, including Facebook and X, to keep consumers informed.
