A hotel in Aliabad, Hunza, has been sealed after a video showing a purported private party at the premises went viral on social media, triggering strong public reaction.

According to local media reports, Deputy Commissioner Hunza Fayyaz Ahmed took notice of the video and directed the district administration to take action against the hotel. Acting on his instructions, the administration sealed Ambiance Resort in Aliabad.

The development comes amid a wider controversy over the gathering, with a local content creator alleging that the event involved drug use. The allegations have drawn mixed reactions online, with some users questioning whether there is sufficient evidence to support claims of drug use and others raising concerns about such activities in the tourist destination.

Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Ahmed said that no one would be allowed to promote what the administration considers immoral activities or obscenity in Hunza. Authorities are also reportedly examining the circumstances surrounding the viral video.

The latest action has once again sparked debate over the balance between tourism, entertainment, local cultural values and enforcement of regulations in Hunza.
