PESHAWAR: Gold prices fell sharply in Pakistan and the international market on Saturday as the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs4,300 per tola in the local market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell to Rs436,336 per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs3,687 to Rs374,087. Silver prices also fell in the local market. The price of one tola of silver dropped by Rs56 to Rs6,522.

In the international market, gold prices fell by $43 per ounce to $4,138 per ounce. Gold prices in Pakistan generally move in line with international market rates and changes in the exchange rate. Local prices can also change due to demand and supply in the market.
