India has set a target of 212 runs for Pakistan to win the gold medal in the Men’s Cricket Final at the Asian Games 2026.

‎In the final being played at Korogi Sports Park in Nishin, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first.

‎India got an aggressive start from openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma. Suryavanshi scored 15 off 9 balls before getting out, while Abhishek Sharma played a blistering innings of 61 off just 28 balls. Ishan Kishan scored 21 runs, while Tilak Varma completed his fifty in just 20 balls with brilliant batting.

‎India posted 211 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Pakistan, Arafat Minhas and Ahmed Daniyal took two wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub claimed one wicket each.

‎Pakistan is being led by Sahibzada Farhan. One change has been made in the Pakistan team, with Saad Masood included in place of Wasim Junior. No change has been made in the Indian team for the final.

‎In a continuation of unsporting behavior, the Indian captain once again did not shake hands with the Pakistani captain at the toss, violating the spirit of gentlemen’s sport.
