CHAMAN: A major fire broke out at a large timber warehouse in the busy Bogra Chowk area of Chaman late at night, prompting a joint firefighting operation by security forces and the civil administration.
According to initial reports, the fire erupted at around 8:30 p.m. and quickly engulfed the wooden warehouse, raising concerns about the flames spreading to nearby buildings.
After receiving information about the incident, teams from Frontier Corps (FC) North and military personnel reached the site and joined the civil administration’s firefighting teams in efforts to contain the blaze.
Two large water tankers, also known as water bowsers, were also deployed by the security forces to support the fire brigade and help provide a continuous water supply during the operation.
Rescue and firefighting personnel are working to prevent the flames from spreading to surrounding structures and bring the fire fully under control.
The cause of the fire and any possible casualties or property losses had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.
