PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Higher Education, Archives and Libraries Department has issued orders for the transfer and new postings of 62 female lecturers (BPS-17) serving at government girls’ colleges across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Higher Education Department on September 28, 2026, all transfers have been made under the e-Transfer Policy and will take effect immediately.
The notification stated that the transfers were made in the public interest. The lecturers being transferred teach a range of subjects, including Urdu, English, Political Science, Chemistry, Botany, Psychology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Geography, Islamic Studies, Economics and Computer Science.
Under the transfer orders, several female lecturers have been posted to government girls’ colleges in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Chitral, Dir and Kurram, among other districts.
The department’s list shows that some lecturers have been transferred between colleges within the same district, while others have been moved from one district to government girls’ colleges in another district.
The institutions receiving the transferred lecturers include Government Postgraduate Girls College Abbottabad, Government Girls Degree College Abbottabad, Government Girls Degree College Mansehra, Government Postgraduate Girls College Haripur, Government Girls Degree College Nowshera, Government Girls Degree College Mardan, Government Girls Degree College Bannu, Government Girls Degree College Swat and Government Girls Degree College Kohat, among others.
Copies of the notification have also been forwarded to the Director Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Director IT (HEMIS), relevant District Accounts Officers, college principals and other concerned authorities for implementation.
The Higher Education Department reiterated that the transfers were carried out under the e-Transfer Policy and became effective immediately upon issuance of the notification.
