DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The results of the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2026 have been announced in Dera Ismail Khan, with 30,162 out of 35,240 candidates declared successful.
According to the examination results, female students secured the top two positions this year. Ayesha Rehman secured first position with 1,146 marks, while Maliha Fatima stood second with 1,137 marks.
Muhammad Zeeshan secured third position with 1,136 marks.
The results highlighted the strong performance of female students, particularly in the top positions.
A significant change was also introduced in this year’s Intermediate examinations, with answer sheets being assessed through an on-screen marking system for the first time.
Under the new system, examination papers are evaluated using digital technology, which is aimed at making the marking process more organized and efficient. Officials described the introduction of on-screen marking as an important step toward modernizing the examination system.

According to officials, the use of modern technology in examinations and result preparation can help improve the efficiency of the process. The new marking system was introduced to bring answer-sheet evaluation in line with modern requirements.
The announcement of the results brought celebrations among successful candidates, while the achievements of the high-performing students were described as the result of their hard work and dedication.
A total of 85.59 percent of candidates passed the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2026 in Dera Ismail Khan, reflecting an overall strong performance.
