PESHAWAR: In view of the precarious law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court S.M. Attique Shah has issued important security measures for the protection of judicial officers and court staff.
On the instructions of the Chief Justice, the Registrar Office of the Peshawar High Court has issued a letter to all District and Sessions Judges of the province and Additional Registrars of the benches.
The letter directs them to ensure strict monitoring of the movement of judges and necessary measures for security in cooperation with all Regional Police Officers (RPOs).
According to the letter, green official number plates should not be used on the vehicles of judicial officers, while office timings of judges and other judicial staff should also be changed as per requirement.
The Chief Justice has directed the relevant institutions to ensure effective implementation of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of judges, district judges and other judicial staff. By Kamran Ali Shah
Alleged disappearance of Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor, petition filed in Peshawar High Court
PESHAWAR: Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Peshawar High Court against the alleged disappearance of Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor. The petition was filed through Advocate Bashir Wazir, in which it has been stated that Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor was allegedly abducted near the Peshawar Motorway Toll Plaza.
According to the petition, unknown persons attacked the provincial minister’s vehicle and allegedly took him with them. The petitioner has requested the court to recover Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor and direct the relevant authorities to take necessary steps regarding his alleged disappearance. The police department has been made a party in the petition.
