Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports, in a move aimed at facilitating high-level contacts and institutional exchanges between the two countries.
The decision was announced following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session.
In a post on X, Ishaq Dar said he was pleased to sign an agreement with Prince Faisal to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He said the agreement would further facilitate high-level contacts and institutional exchanges between the two countries.
According to the deputy prime minister, the move would also contribute to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries across areas of mutual interest.
