PESHAWAR:  A clash erupted between two student organisations at Islamia College Peshawar on Tuesday, reportedly over a political issue.

According to the police, the altercation resulted in injuries to two students, who were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is said to be stable.

Law enforcement authorities intervened promptly and arrested ten individuals allegedly involved in the incident. Police have confirmed that the clash was rooted in political disagreements between the groups.

Following the arrests, students from the college staged a protest, demanding the release of their fellow students and condemning what they described as an excessive police response.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made a significant advancement by speeding up the digitalisation process in the Primary and Secondary Education Department.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Education, Muhammad Asim Khan, has announced that all educational data will now be collected exclusively in digital format, with a complete ban on manual or paper records.

According to the announcement, all educational offices are directed to effectively utilise the Integrated Education Management Information System (IEMIS). All reports, data, and records must be compiled through this platform.
