MARDAN: Young cricketer Razaullah, 21, from Mardan has returned home to a hero’s welcome after delivering an impressive performance for Pakistan in the recently concluded Test match against England.

Razaullah arrived at Islamabad International Airport and traveled to his hometown of Mansab Kala, Mardan. He was greeted at multiple points along the route by relatives, friends, and residents of his neighborhood.

Well-wishers garlanded him with flowers, raised slogans, and celebrated the young pacer/batsman’s success with the national team. Speaking to local media, Rezaullah’s father said his son had proved his talent on the biggest stage of Test cricket.

“He showed his full abilities in Test cricket. If the selectors give him a chance in ODIs and T20Is as well, I am confident he will perform at the same level and make the name of the country and nation shine even brighter,” he said.

Local residents said the reception reflects the pride Mardan feels for producing another international cricketer. Many young players from the area came out to meet Rezaullah, calling him an inspiration.

According to details shared in the report by Akhunzada Fazal Haq, Rezaullah’s selection and performance have been widely appreciated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s cricket circles. Officials and coaches in Mardan also expressed hope that the PCB will continue to back him for all formats.

Rezaullah’s strong showing against England adds him to the growing list of young players from KP who have broken into the national Test side in recent years.
