DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the Player of the Month award for August, with cricketers from Bangladesh, England and Sri Lanka making the shortlist.
Sonal Dinusha from Sri Lanka, Ollie Robinson from England and Hasan Mahmud from Bangladesh have been shortlisted for the award.
Sonal Dinusha got his nomination on the basis of his exceptional performance in two Test matches against India where he scored 420 runs in the series.
Ollie Robinson from England was nominated on the basis of his exceptional bowling performances against Pakistan in the first and second Test matches of the series. Ollie Robinson had taken eight wickets in both the matches.

Hasan Mahmud from Bangladesh also gave an exceptional performance during the Darwin Test match against Australia as he had taken six wickets in the first innings and three wickets in the second innings, totaling nine wickets in the game.
ICC Player of the Month award in August would go to one of the three nominated cricketers.
NCCIA summons Inam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan tomorrow
Meanwhile, the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has summoned national cricketers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan tomorrow, Friday.
According to sources, the PCB had kept the cricketers’ mobile phones and sent them to the relevant institutions. Sources said that the NCCA has issued notices to Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Rizwan, in which the cricketers have been summoned.
Apart from Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Rizwan, the NCCA has also issued notices to another cricketer. According to sources, the NCCA will investigate the information obtained from the players’ mobile phones, while the PCB has not yet given any reason why the cricketers’ mobile phones were kept.
Sources say that Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Rizwan will appear at the NCCA Lahore tomorrow. Notices were issued to both players on Monday, in which they were summoned to the NCCA Lahore on Friday.
Sources said that both cricketers will have their mobile phones unlocked and will be questioned about the dressing room leaks during the England series.
