PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has proposed introducing a special top-up health package for government employees under the Sehat Card Plus program.
According to a local news channel report, a meeting on the Sehat Card Plus program was held in Peshawar. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi chaired the meeting. The meeting discussed measures to make the health insurance program more organized, effective and sustainable.
Several proposals were presented during the meeting, including expanding coverage for expensive medical treatments, increasing service rates and introducing a top-up health package specifically for government employees under the Sehat Card program.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that, in line with the vision of PTI founder Imran Khan, health and education remain the government’s top priorities.

He said reforms and modernization of basic health centers are aimed at ensuring that healthcare facilities are made available to people at their doorsteps.
CM Afridi emphasized that providing quality healthcare facilities to the public remains the government’s ultimate objective. He also directed officials to address health and education-related matters promptly, stressing that there was no room for unnecessary delays.
Afridi further instructed authorities to take effective measures to prevent the misuse of Sehat Card facilities.
