PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) has taken notice of a viral video showing a YouTuber getting a haircut inside the office of the District Police Officer (DPO) Haripur and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
The video circulating on social media shows a man having his hair cut inside the DPO office. According to police officials, the man seen in the video is a YouTuber who had visited the office.
The IGP directed Regional Police Officer (RPO) Hazara to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Police officials said the barber came to the DPO office and cut the YouTuber’s hair. They added that DPO Haripur Shafiullah Gandapur was not present in the office when the video was recorded.
Sources quoted the YouTuber as saying that he had gone to the DPO office for an interview related to the Ayat Noor case. According to the sources, the YouTuber faced difficult questions during the interview, after which the DPO allegedly remarked that his hair needed to be fixed.
The sources further claimed that a barber, identified as Rustam, was subsequently called from his home to cut the YouTuber’s hair.
The incident has drawn attention on social media, prompting police authorities to seek clarification through a formal inquiry.
