ISLAMABAD: For numerous Pakistanis that aspire to permanent life in Europe, the option of Slovenia is attractive because it has become feasible. The country is outfitted with some of the best natural beauty, health, and quality of life in the central European continent, making it a more suited option for those looking for long-term opportunity and stability.
The immigration law for Slovenia allows for Pakistani citizens to apply for permanent residency after five years of ongoing and legal temporary residency in Slovenia. The five-year period must be continuous – extended periods outside of Slovenia can break this streak even if the trips to Slovenia were only temporary.
Eligibility
In Slovenia, temporary residency status is usually eligible for one year which needs to be completed throughout the yearly process. Temporary residency is typically established based on employment, education, business, or family reunification.
Time spent in Slovenia working, or studying, either seasonal or temporary, may not fully count; usually, a student attendance is applied at a 50% credit towards establishing five years of residency.
If a close family member is a Slovenian citizen, or permanent resident of Slovenia; than one may apply for permanent residency after only two years in Slovenia.
