Pakistan SCO Summit 2026

LONDON: Pakistan’s national cricket team met King Charles at Clarence House, the historic London residence of the British royal family, during a special engagement on Wednesday.

King Charles interacted with members of the Pakistan squad and team officials during the gathering. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was also present.

During the meeting, King Charles and Mohsin Naqvi discussed cricket as well as Pakistan’s efforts to combat terrorism and maintain peace and stability in the country.

The British High Commissioner also spoke with the King about Pakistan’s role in promoting peace in the region, highlighting what he described as the important contribution of Pakistan and Mohsin Naqvi toward regional peace.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Naqvi described the engagement with King Charles as highly productive. He said the King encouraged the Pakistani players and appreciated efforts being made to promote peace.

Following the meeting, Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi departed the United Kingdom to return to Pakistan.
