ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an important update for citizens applying for arms licences.

To facilitate applicants, NADRA has shifted all services related to arms licences issued by the Ministry of Interior from its Mega Centre in Blue Area and Regional Head Office in G-10 to the Pakistan Easay Khidmat Centre in G-9, Islamabad.

Applicants seeking arms licence-related services have been advised to visit the NADRA office located at the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre.

The centre provides several government services under one roof, including services related to police and passport authorities, making it easier for citizens to access multiple facilities at a single location.

According to NADRA, the Pakistan Easay Khidmat Centre remains open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm.

Citizens applying for or seeking services related to arms licences have been advised to visit the new designated centre during the announced operating hours.

NADRA launches new version of Pak Identity App with multiple new features

Meanwhile, National Database and Registration Authority has released version 5.7.4 of the Pak Identity mobile app, introducing several new facilities for citizens and overseas Pakistanis.

In a video message, NADRA spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali said the new version includes key features such as online FIA complaint registration, correction of family records, signature upload, and digital identity documents.

According to NADRA, once the necessary arrangements by FIA are completed, citizens will be able to file complaints online through the Pak Identity app.

Citizens will also be able to track the progress of their complaint via the app, eliminating the need to visit an FIA office or station.

Easier Correction of Family Records

NADRA frequently receives complaints regarding obtaining Family Registration Certificates (FRC) and missing names in family records.

The new version simplifies the process of adding individuals to family data whose names are not currently listed. If the person already has a CNIC, a request to add them to the family record can be submitted via the Pak Identity app. After verification of required information and documents, if approved, the person will be added to the family composition. The citizen can then obtain a new FRC based on the updated record. If the person does not have a CNIC, their name can still be added to the FRC, but this addition will be limited to that specific FRC only and will not become part of NADRA’s permanent family record.

New Signature Upload Feature

The process of uploading signatures has also been improved. The new version includes aspect ratio cropping. Now, even if the signature is not centered in the photo or is too small, the app will automatically focus and crop the signature, making it easier to upload correctly.

Succession Certificate Verification

The app already offers succession certificate verification. Citizens can verify a Succession Certificate or Letter of Administration through the app.

Use the “Succession Certificate Verification” option on the app’s home page.

According to NADRA, this process can be completed in a few minutes. A detailed tutorial video is also available on NADRA’s YouTube channel.5. Digital Identity for Overseas Pakistanis. A major new facility has been introduced for overseas Pakistanis.

Once an application for CNIC, NICOP, or POC is approved and the document is printed and verified, its digital version will be available in the Pak Identity app.

According to NADRA, under the Government of Pakistan’s digital laws, the digital record and digital ID in the app have the same legal status as the physical identity document.

This facility is available for applications submitted both from Pakistan and abroad. NADRA has also informed relevant institutions about the legal status and use of digital identity documents so that they can be accepted for identity verification when required. NADRA stated that the purpose of the new version of the Pak Identity app is to make identity-related services easier, faster, and more digital for citizens.
