PESHAWAR: Award-winning Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsud has added another Guinness World Record to his growing list of international achievements, bringing further recognition to Pakistan on the global stage.
Mehsud set the new record by performing 38 full-extension punches in one minute while carrying a 10-kilogram weight, surpassing the previous record of 30 punches.
The feat adds to Mehsud’s remarkable record in strength-based physical challenges. He holds the distinction of having 70 Guinness World Records in the push-up category, while also setting multiple records using weights of 100, 80, 60 and 40 pounds.
The Pakistani athlete has established world records across a wide range of categories, including push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, side jumps, high jumps and star jumps.
According to the information provided, Mehsud has become the athlete with the highest number of Guinness World Records in strength-related categories at the world level.
He has also broken records held by athletes from around 20 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, India, China, Norway, Germany, France, Finland, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq and Syria.
Mehsud’s achievements have also inspired his students. As many as 20 of his students have gone on to establish Guinness World Records, showcasing their abilities on the international stage.
