ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the results of the CSS-2026 written competitive examination, with only 476 candidates qualifying out of 17,351 who appeared in at least one paper.
According to a press release issued by the FPSC on Monday, the written examination was conducted from February 4 to 15, 2026. A total of 24,321 candidates had applied for the examination, including 13,206 male and 11,025 female candidates.
The overall pass percentage remained at 2.74 percent, underscoring the highly competitive nature of the examination.
Of the 476 successful candidates, 239 were male and 237 were female, showing an almost equal gender distribution among those who cleared the written stage.

The CSS-2026 process began with the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)-based Preliminary Test (MPT), for which 63,368 applications were received. Of these, 43,189 candidates appeared, while 36,758 candidates passed the preliminary test. The successful MPT candidates included 20,625 males and 16,133 females.
According to the Commission, the list of candidates who have qualified for the written examination is available at Annex-A of the result notification.
Candidates who have passed the written examination would now move towards the next stages of the competitive recruitment process. The schedule for medical examinations, psychological assessment and viva voce would be announced by the Commission in due course.
FPSC congratulates the successful candidates and requests them to keep visiting the official website of the commission for further updates.
It should be mentioned here that FPSC has ensured the accuracy and correctness of the result in this regard. However, the commission reserves the right to correct any error or omission at any stage.
