CHARSADDA: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Federal Constabulary Training Center in Shabqadar, Charsadda and reviewed the operational preparedness of the force.
During the visit, the minister inspected special training exercises conducted by the Anti-Riot Wing. Constables demonstrated practical drills on crowd control and maintenance of law and order.
Praising the personnel, Mohsin Naqvi said the Anti-Riot Force has been trained on modern lines and is fully prepared to deal with any law and order situation.
Addressing the troops, the Interior Minister said that no one will be allowed to sabotage the peace and stability of the country. He stated that peaceful protest is the right of every citizen and there is no objection to protests carried out within the bounds of the law.
However, he added that violence and vandalism under the guise of protest cannot be allowed and elements who take the law into their own hands will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
He further said that in the current situation, the role of the Federal Constabulary is extremely important and directed personnel to remain fully prepared to face all kinds of challenges.
The minister also announced several welfare measures for the force. He said that modern international-standard protective gear is being provided to personnel and directed that gas masks be provided to all jawans. He announced that modern sports facilities and an international-standard swimming pool will be constructed at FC Headquarters and ordered that all washrooms at FC Headquarters be completely rebuilt.
Mohsin Naqvi also toured the barracks and interacted with personnel. The personnel confirmed that the issue of load-shedding has been resolved and uninterrupted power supply has been ensured, and they thanked the minister for resolving the problem. On a humanitarian note, the minister issued immediate directives for the cancer treatment of a constable’s mother.
For the first time, 35 female personnel are part of the training program. Trainees include representation from all provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. IG Federal Constabulary, DIG Training, and other senior officers were also present during the visit.
