ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a slight reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel, according to an official notification.
The price of petrol has been reduced by 50 paisas per litre, bringing the new price to Rs342.60 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been cut by 19 paisas per litre, with the new price set at Rs371.61 per litre.
According to the notification, the revised petrol and diesel prices will apply on August 28, 2026.
The government described the adjustment as a minor reduction in petroleum prices, offering limited relief to motorists and consumers amid high fuel costs.
