Authorities are considering offering passport-related services at NADRA registration centres to enable citizens to access facilities of both departments under one roof.
Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the NADRA headquarters, where he held a meeting with NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports and NADRA, expanding the use of modern technology, providing services through mobile applications, improving digital systems and introducing policy reforms.
Senior officials from both organizations also attended the meeting. Their teams discussed joint measures to provide faster, more transparent and convenient services to the public, while also exploring ways to strengthen institutional coordination and develop a future reform strategy.
During the meeting, officials considered providing passport facilities at NADRA registration centres. They also discussed installing relevant modules for passport applications and processing at selected NADRA centres, as well as integrating passport-related services into NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application.
Randhawa said the government’s priority was to provide citizens with international-standard services through the effective use of modern technology and stronger cooperation between government institutions.
