LAHORE: The government of Punjab has launched its first electric bus service, ‘Electro,’ in Lahore, a transition towards green Pakistan.
The Punjab government has officially launched its first-ever electric bus service, ‘Electro’, in Lahore, marking a major step toward eco-friendly urban transport. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the initiative.
According to the government of Punjab, the initiative aims to connect remote areas with the heart of the city, Lahore and offer residents an affordable and modern transport system. It said 27 electric buses will operate on this route, with 98 dedicated bus stops currently under construction.
