‎Buner residents questions poor performance of local public health department

Residents of Buner have complained about the poor performance of the district’s Public Health Engineering Department, saying water is not being supplied according to the announced timetable.

‎Locals from several areas said taps remain dry on scheduled days, while in some localities supply comes late at night with very low pressure. The problem has forced families to buy water from tankers or travel long distances to meet daily needs.

‎In *Bagra village*, residents specifically pointed to the main tube well as a key source of frustration. They said the tube well has been non-functional or running irregularly for weeks, and no repair work has been carried out by the Public Health Department despite repeated complaints. Because of this, households in Bagra are facing acute shortages and are dependent on expensive private water tankers.

‎Community members have urged the district administration and Public Health officials to take immediate notice, repair the Bagra village tube well, and restore the supply schedule across the district.

‎The complaints come amid heavy monsoon rains in KP, but locals said the issue in Buner is due to poor maintenance and management rather than weather.
