ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a scheduled power shutdown for several areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal on Tuesday, August 11.
According to the schedule issued by IESCO, electricity supply will be suspended in different areas at various times to facilitate annual maintenance and construction work on the power distribution network.
In Islamabad, several feeders including Rehara, Kurri, CM Pak Zong, Navy-1 and Ali Pur will remain shut from 6am to 10am, while the Bani Gala feeder will face an outage from 10am to 1pm.
In Rawalpindi city, multiple feeders will remain without power between 7am and 10am, affecting areas including Eid Gah, Peshawar Road, Millatabad, Gulnar Colony, Westridge, Askari-XI, Golra and KRL. Some feeders, including Qayyumabad, Service Road and Noora Road, have been scheduled for outages until 10:30am.
In the Rawalpindi Cantt operation circle, power suspensions have been scheduled for areas including Sowan Garden, Fatima Jinnah University, Kohala, Moorat and Tipu Road, mostly between 6am and 10am.
Several areas in Chakwal will also experience scheduled outages. The shutdown timings vary by feeder, with some areas expected to remain without electricity from 6am to 11am.
In Attock, power interruptions have been scheduled across a number of feeders. Several areas, including Bahtar More, Punjab Small Industries, Kohistan Enclave, Kashif Gul, Model Town and Mix Industry, will face outages from 5am to noon. Other areas have been allocated shorter shutdown windows.
IESCO said the scheduled outages are part of its maintenance and construction activities. Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements in advance.
