PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to remain hot and humid today with temperatures soaring in the plains and a chance of patchy rain in parts of the province.

According to the latest forecast, the provincial capital Peshawar will experience sunny and very hot conditions. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 42°C while the minimum will stay around 32°C.

Residents have been advised to avoid direct sun exposure between 11 AM and 4 PM and stay hydrated. Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is likely to be partly cloudy with occasional rain possible in some areas. The overall high for the province is around 35°C and the low 28°C, with about 2.8mm of rain expected.

In the southern district of Wana, South Waziristan, the day will be mostly sunny with a high of 32°C and a low of 21°C. There is a 24% chance of rain with southeast winds of 15-25 km/h. The UV index is also marked as extreme.

Northern and hilly areas like Battagram may see more significant showers with up to 18mm of rain possible and temperatures ranging from 30°C to 19°C.
