ISLAMABAD: The federal government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel following a review by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the directives of the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division.

According to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.63 per litre, taking the new price from Rs334.18 to Rs335.81 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been raised by Rs1.55 per litre, with the new rate increasing from Rs386.83 to Rs388.38 per litre.

Officials said the latest revision was carried out under the government’s new petroleum pricing mechanism. The updated prices will come into effect from July 29, 2026.
