RAWALAKOT: The overall situation in Rawalakot remains fully under control, with a peaceful environment prevailing across the area, security sources said.
According to the sources, authorities are continuously monitoring the situation and taking necessary measures to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
The sources said certain elements were attempting to influence the situation through political activities; however, state institutions remain active and are working to keep conditions under control.
Security sources said an armed group attacked a security forces checkpoint, resulting in the martyrdom of one security official and injuries to three others. The security forces exercised restraint and successfully brought the situation under control.
The sources said the state remains firm in its position that elements seeking to disrupt peace and order will be dealt with in accordance with the law. Additional reinforcements are also being deployed to Rawalakot to strengthen security arrangements and protect the public.
According to security sources, normal life continues in Rawalakot, with residents carrying on their daily activities as authorities take ongoing steps to maintain peace and stability in the area.
