PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing mix weather situation as the met Office forecasts a shift to wet weather starting tomorrow.
According to the latest weather bulletin, most districts in KP recorded partly cloudy skies with maximum temperatures touching 34°C. In Peshawar, the mercury hit 34°C while it felt like 40°C to 42°C due to humidity levels between 51% and 72%.
The Met Department said light northern winds are blowing across the province at 1.5 to 3 m/s. Sunrise was recorded at 5:22 AM and sunset will be at 7:19 PM.For Monday, July 27, weather is expected to remain mostly clear.
The maximum temperature may rise to 36°C with minimum at 29°C. It will feel like 42°C. The UV index will again remain at extreme levels. No major rain is expected, but humidity will stay high. Meteorologists say the weather pattern will change from Tuesday, July 28, with light rain and thundershowers likely in several areas.
A stronger monsoon spell with thunderstorms is expected from Wednesday, which may bring some relief from the heat and drop temperatures by mid-week. Authorities have urged people to take precautionary measures during the heat today and to remain cautious of flash flooding in hilly areas once the rains begin.
