ISLAMABAD: The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has announced that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is offering a range of international career opportunities for highly qualified and experienced Pakistani professionals, enabling them to pursue careers across various countries under the UN system.
According to an official advisory issued by the bureau, Pakistani nationals can apply for a number of professional positions at UNDP, offering an opportunity to work in an international and multicultural environment while contributing to global development initiatives.
The advisory stated that applicants are expected to possess strong academic qualifications, with relevant professional experience considered a key requirement. While preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in their respective fields, bachelor’s degree holders may also be eligible for certain positions if they possess additional relevant professional experience.
The bureau outlined the minimum experience required for various UNDP professional grades. Candidates applying for P-2 positions must have between two and four years of relevant experience, while P-3 positions require five to seven years.
Applicants for P-4 roles should have seven to nine years of experience, whereas P-5 positions require at least 12 years. Senior-level D-1 and D-2 positions require between 15 and 17 years, or more, of relevant professional experience.
The advisory noted that successful candidates will have the opportunity to serve in different countries, gain international exposure, advance their careers, and work in diverse cultural settings as part of the United Nations’ global development efforts.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment encouraged young professionals, university graduates, and experienced experts to seize these opportunities to demonstrate their skills on the international stage and contribute to enhancing Pakistan’s professional presence worldwide.
