BAJAUR: At least two people were killed and several others seriously injured in an IED blast in Bajaur tribal district here on Saturday.
According to the police, it was an IED blast which occurred near Tali Dam at Salarzai tehsil. As a result of which two locals died, and several others sustained serious injuries. Soon after the blast, locals started rescue operations and shifted the dead and injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Khar for medical treatment.
Moreover, a large contingent of police and rescue teams arrived at the scene. Police say that the area is being cordoned off and evidence is being collected for further investigation.
