ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has purchased another spot liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo for delivery in July, with the shipment procured at $20.69 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), according to Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL).
The sources said the cargo, scheduled for delivery between July 21 and 22, is the most expensive spot LNG cargo purchased by Pakistan so far this month.
PLL opened bids for the LNG supply on Tuesday and received a total of two offers from international suppliers.
According to the sources, the lowest bid of $20.69 per MMBtu was submitted by one international company, while another bidder quoted $21.37 per MMBtu.
The cargo was awarded to the lowest bidder under the spot procurement process, the sources added.
