PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department (KPESED) has initiated an urgent process to upgrade 347 female Secondary School Teachers (SSTs) from Grade 16 to Grade 17 (personal).
The department has issued immediate instructions to all District Education Officers (Female), including officials in merged districts, to complete the required process.
According to an official notification issued by the Directorate of Education, the orders apply to female teachers who were appointed or promoted as SSTs between November 28, 2011, and May 10, 2016, and have completed 10 years of service in the position.
However, these teachers have not yet submitted the required Personal Evaluation Reports (PERs) and other necessary documents needed for their upgradation.
The department has directed all District Education Officers (Female) to identify the 347 teachers in their respective districts and submit their documents and reports to the concerned office within two days.
The notification further stated that if any of the listed teachers is no longer serving in the relevant district, a nil report certificate must be submitted immediately to ensure the upgradation process is completed without delay.
The education department said the move aims to finalize pending upgradation cases of eligible teachers across the province.
