PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has made audit clearance mandatory before granting promotions to employees, introducing new conditions aimed at resolving pending audit objections.
According to an official notification issued by PESCO, employees will be required to obtain a “No Pending Audit Para Certificate” before being considered for promotion.
The new directive applies particularly to Line Superintendent-I and Line Superintendent-II promotion cases, where audit clearance has been declared a compulsory requirement.
The notification stated that promotion certificates will not be issued to eligible employees until outstanding audit objections against them are resolved.
PESCO has directed divisional heads to immediately clear pending audit objections and ensure that all eligible employees have divisional audit clearance before the meeting of promotion boards.
Relevant offices have been instructed to submit audit clearance reports within seven days. The company clarified that employees with unresolved audit objections will not be issued No Audit Pending Certificates (NAPC).
The notification further stated that any delay in obtaining audit clearance will be the responsibility of the concerned formations and divisions.
